Canis lupus familiaris - remarkable creatures! Dogs' value to early human hunters led to them quickly becoming ubiquitous across world cultures.Dogs perform many roles for people, such as hunting, ptotection,assisting,companionship.This impact on human society has given them the nickname Man's best friend.There are hundreds of various breeds,so are the movies dogs are participating.Let's review some of the most remarkable ones.
Starting with The Heart of a Dog.Interpretation of 1925 Bulgakov's self titled novel.Not that famous,but definitely intriguing storyline.A stray dog was transformed by his savior Dr. Preobrazhensky into a human named Sharikov.The satire is that Sharikov got influenced by the street and adopted the communist idea.Apparently it led to a confrontation with the noble doctor,turning his life into complete hell.In the aftermath, the Professor patiently attempt to
teach Sharikov basic etiquette. Instead, Sharikov mocks the idea of
manners as relics of Tsarism.
He insists that it is better to behave, as he puts it, "naturally." As a
result, Sharikov curses in front of women, refuses to shave, and

Even though it's hard for me to recall the plot of Lassie Come Home,for some reason every time it comes to my mind it warms up my heart.A cute fare of collie accompanying her young fellow into the hard times.Proving the point-a dog won't let you down no matter the circumstances.
The Komissar Rex series,started back in '94.A real hero, the German Shepard Rex is fighting the crime on the streets of Vienna.For many years alang with his co-worker,Rex is patrolling troubled areas and detecting and holding of suspects,before going to a well deserved retirement.Light series, garnished with german humor,some action scenes and a bit of a detective storyline.
Another story of a stray dog named Benji, participating actively in saving the Prince from his severe chasers in Benji,Zax and the Alien Prince series.Along with his new friends Yubi the young prince and Zax a 5th generation droid,he got involved into many adventures.The 3 friends were chased by two evil aliens and Zord - a 7th generation droid, using the advantages of the latest universe technologies.But no technology may compare to having a skilled and smart earth companion, guiding the good alien fellows in finding a shelter, every time they were in danger. The series doesn't really have credits.Each series starts and ends with a chase.At the Finale as far as I remember the Prince manages to find his way back to his planet and Benji most definetely had hundreds of stories to share with his fellow stray dogs.
Last ,but not least is a real celebrity-Uggie from The Artist.His performance was considered by many to have upstaged those of his co-stars and has won him the Palm Dog award in Cannes and there are petitions for other awards to be opened up to dogs, on account of his exceptional performance.He is retired after the Oscars in 2012 lives in Hollywood with his wife, and his daughter.
