Sovite ne sa tova,koeto sa!

Remember Twin Peaks?Hell yeah! :o).I was a kid then, but the music was as much as thrilling for me ,as the mystery itself.Looking at the cover of the soundtrack now,I can see the full movie, mirrored in all those Laura Palmer's Theme,Into the Night,Falling..and special agent Cooper and Sherilyn Fenn-as Audrey, she was kinda cool :o) Ahh memories.Lynch and Badalamenti : fairy tellers of the night. They got across for this magical collaboration back in '86 with Blue Velvet, when Angelo was brought in to be Isabella Rosselini's singing coach for the self titled song. They worked together on multiple projects, those we know Wild at Heart,Lost Highway,Mulholland drive etc.etc., sounds and images marking an almost perfect relationship. As it became an ideal sub-steam match through the years. Then, by accident or by destiny's will, I found out The Thing, I'd like to talk about.
Besides a movie master Lynch is not a bad musician at all, really. Not hard to predict though, being an artist of class.Even though I was suspecting D.L.s Rabbit's soundtrack is his experiment, which turned out to be truth, but it's another story. Me personally discovered Mr. L's music with the following track (short film)

Yay when I heard this tune on the radio I thought "Kick me, that's Badalamenti" for sure ,or at least Twin Peaks new series were launched, where they'll tell us "Who killed Lora Palmer" at the end.Yeah kick me,this time it was Mr.David Lynch himself and his own musical project. This time the night walk was his own creature. It caught my ear.I knew it somehow, that this tune will lead me to somewhere, but where?
-Why not a musician-I was thinking?Lynch is a great director, seems like it's just a natural extension of his passion for arts. The guy is famous for a furniture collection he presented at the prestigious Milan furniture fair in Italy!  "Design and music, art and architecture – they all belong together" he says. What about the music? -I am a decent guitar player-a confession from early 90s TV show.Lynch is extremely modest.I find him a great composer, participating into the cooking of all the OSTs. He is also sequester master, modifying the organ frequencies (GMO :o)) Remember the Twin Peaks' low tones vibe?-it's his trade mark. However he wasn't exposing his musical talent depths till late decade, not in a self musical project at least.
The OST for T.P. the movie "Fire walk with me" is a shared venture of the cult duo Thought Gang together with Mr. Badalamenti. There was another duo with a rock'n'roll guy-the Bluebob ,a funky rock'n'roll blues experimental mixture with even funkier presentation for television francais.

In 2011 Crazy Clown Time-his first self project is coming out.The time of the crazy clowns has come: Mr. Lynch's distorred guitar wants to tell us.In a rather abstract way, hard to digest like an early Mr. Bungle: lots of experimental sounds turning into noises. There was kind of a tension in the air.Definitely not the Twin Peaks vibe. The album sounded to me a bit raw, giving away the feeling Lynch is still tailoring, searching for something, but what is it?
The Crazy Clown album is released straight after couple of musical experiments: Fox Bat Strategy '09, a pop-surreal thing and the Night Polish Music '07,nice a? I'll consider them side projects in a way ambivalent for listening and..and..Come on, your essay is becoming a grumpy old man talk-someone said.Hell yeah! Definitely there is a track I like from the Crazy Clown ,it's a Visionquest remix :o)

I strongly believe the search for The Thing, all the substances, all of the chemical reaction, all of the valents brought Mr. Lynch to 2013.The 2013th The Big Dream!
Well that's something!That's The Thing!
Hmm and now, coming to this conclusion, makes me unsure if David Lynch was in actual search for it ,or it was me actually ,or it were the owls?
Who cares? Uhh that smooth silky voice of Lykke Li you hear, this melodic tranquility ,those in-depth old music machine sounds, the blues guitar,this....5,4,3,2,1
Relax.
Make yourself comfortable.
Turn the lights off.
Imagine you are hitting a dusty road.
It's already dark.
It always ends where it begins...

As.
